Grand Theft Auto IV - Game Mod - RealityIV v.1.2.2 - Download

RealityIV is a mod for Grand Theft Auto IV, created by BadassBaboon.

Description:

RealityIV is kind of similar to it's counterparts like Reality Redemption and RealityV. The goal is to improve the graphics by modifying the game shaders using a custom ReShade add-on called RealityFX. This only works with the Vulkan API. You can combine this with your favorite timecycle mod of choice too. Currently only Complete Edition is officially supported, older patches may still work.

What features RealityIV adds to the game?

Volumetric Clouds:

1. Physical intractable clouds
2. Colored from the parameters the RAGE engine uses, no need for manual color adjustments
3. Multiple cloud layers, fully customizable per each weather preset

Automatic weather detection

1. GGX Specular Model:
2. GGX Specular on every single surface of the game, fully customizable
3. Added GGX for sources that did not even support them such as lamp post reflections
4. Added missing reflections to LODs, with customizable intensity
5. Car headlights reflect properly in the reflections now too

Screen Space Reflections:

1. Liberty City is no longer flat, everything reflects!
2. Proper SSR implementation, reflecting vehicles, buildings, NPCs, props, basically everything, including the sky
3. More visible in shiny reflection surfaces, interiors and in puddles during rainy weather types
4. Rain puddles and improved wetness:
5. Rain puddles on the ground during rain, they fade on steep roads just like in GTA 5
6. Rain drop ripples in the puddles
7. Improved gloss and full reflection customization

Parallax Height Mapping (POM):

1. Added parallax to almost every surface and model in the game so the city now has more depth

Physically Based Sky:

1. Replaced the old simple gradient sky system with a proper PBR sky
2. Adds various realistic sky features such as aerosols, realistic haze, ozone and scattering
3. Sampled and mixed RAGE engine sky parameters and colors to re-mold them into a proper physical sky appearance

Lights and Coronas:

1. You can change the color of street lamps with a simple color picker now
2. Six custom coronas to pick at runtime as replacements for the simple corona sprite, including: Starburst, Anamorphic flare, Diffusion Smear and more!

Stochastic Texturing:

1. Fixes obvious tiling texture patterns in various surfaces such as sand, grass, dirt, soil

Sun Lens Flares:

1. Optional customizable lens flares projecting from the sun, with various different styles such as Anamorphic streaks, Starburst spikes, Multi-Coated Ghosts, Barrel Distortion Ghosts and Rainbow Prism Spectrum Ghosts

Vehicle Paint and Visuals:

1. Improved vehicle lighting and paint with clearcoat, baked highlight suppression, color richness and pearlescent shift
2. Vehicles including their windows will react and work with SSR too

On-Vehicle Raindrops:

1. During rainy weathers you will now see cars get actually wet, with rain droplets and streaks appearing on the car body and glass and sliding down

How to install?

1. It's recommended to install FusionFix first and switch to the Vulkan API. RealityIV DOES NOT WORK with DirectX 9!

2. Go to (https://reshade.me) and download the latest ReShade with full add-on support.

3. Install ReShade, select your GTAIV.exe and pick Vulkan. You can skip installing ReShade shaders or add-ons if you don't want them.

4. Delete the RealityFX folder from your game directory if you have an old RealityIV version installed.

5. Place the contents of the "RealityIV" folder into your game folder (where GTAIV.exe is).

6. Done, enjoy. You can press HOME to open ReShade menu and customize RealityIV if you want.
