Description:

The project greatly enhances the game’s graphics by adding full ray tracing using Nvidia's RTX Remix tools, designed to refresh old productions.

First and foremost, this is not a remaster. It is a mod that allows the game to be modded with NVIDIA's RTX Remix

It does NOT come with enhanced assets. That means no PBR materials nor higher quality meshes.

There are obvious drawbacks, and things that will just not work with such a new title, so don't expect this to be perfect.

RTX Remix has a certain overhead because of how it works and intercepts the game's draw calls.

You'll experience CPU bottlenecks because of the amount of detailed meshes the game is rendering,

which means that the performance you'll see in certain places is not entirely due to pathtracing.

The mod comes with a custom Remix Runtime required for a few game specific features

and with Ultimate ASI Loader to load the Compatibility Mod itself.

Instructions:

Download the archive and extract it to any location. It is important that everything is in one folder. Then run “GTAIV-Remix-CompMod-Installer.exe.” A window will open where you will need to specify the location of the GTAIV.exe file on your hard drive (where you have the game installed).

Importantly, the installer will offer to install a specially modified version of FusionFix. This is recommended because the standard version of this project, which fixes a lot of bugs in the game, has some elements that are not fully compatible with Grand Theft Auto IV – RTX Remix Compatibility Mod.
