Did you think that quirky controllers are just inventions from the distant, wacky past? Well, it is completely different. Dragon Quest Slime Controller is a game pad for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch released in 2019 by the American company HORI. It appeared as a kind of gadget for Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age debuting on the Switch at that time. The controller, apart from its unusual appearance, did not introduce any non-standard control methods. It just looked pretty cute.
As you can already guess, since the controller did not propose any strange controls, it worked with any game on PlayStation 4 or Nintendo Switch. Imagine playing The Witcher 3 or Doom on it?
