An action adventure game with cRPG elements maintained in a maritime atmosphere. The main character, an arrogant young man named Sirius, after an argument with his father goes out to sea, looking for a way to gain fame and wealth, as well as to take revenge. The title was produced by Phantasm Games studio and is based on the casual mechanics of Tradewinds series.
A Sirius Game is the work of Phantasm Games, an Indian studio specializing in low-budget productions for Xbox 360 and PCs. The game develops ideas from the popular Tradewinds casual market.
The main character of the game is an arrogant young man who is thrown out of the house after another argument with his father. Avid for retaliation, Sirius sets out to sea to gain fame and wealth that will allow him to take revenge for the wrongs he has suffered. On board of the sailing ship, however, he is facing a tough school full of dangers and marine life.
The game in A Sirius Game combines elements of an action adventure game and cRPG. The game world includes four regions to explore. The player's main occupation is to travel between ports, carry out commissioned missions (e.g. escorting merchant ships), trade in goods and fight against pirates or sea monsters. The experience gained in this way allows you to develop your character, while the money allows you to buy new ships or modify your existing vessels, including, for example, the exchange of weapons.
Unlike the Tradewinds series, A Sirius Game offers 3D graphics. Developers used their own Phantasm XNA Engine, previously used in Armoured and Dangerous. However, the quality of the audiovisual layer leaves no doubt about the low-cost character of the production.
