The 12th expansion for EverQuest II, an MMORPG released by Daybreak Game Company in 2004. The story of Terror of Thalumbra takes us to the eponymous kingdom, which is home to many legendary races as well as incredibly dangerous ancient evil. The land of Norrath is yet again faced with great danger when T’Vyl, the resurrected goddess of malice, opens the gate to the new world. The players assume the role of the daredevils who dare descent into Thalumbra in order to face the forces of evil. The expansion introduces a completely new location for characters at levels 100 an higher, 80 various quests, as well as previously unavailable challenges and multiplayer raids. The gameplay mechanics were also subject to minor changes; these include a new faith system, new sorts of Relic and Prestige items, as well as the possibility of upgrading the statistics of our equipment.

Apart from that, the DLC introduces a new race – Areakyn, as well as a complex set of items, skills, and spells, which can all be used when fighting new enemies. The expansion obviously brings its share of story missions, side quests, and some minor tweaks in the area of audio-visuals.

EverQuest II: Tears of Veeshan is the 10th DLC for a MMORPG called EverQuest II, well-known and regarded since 2004. The expansion was developed by Daybreak Game Company, people who also developed the original game in 1999, and have been maintaining the franchise ever since. This expansion takes players to a new land of Enternal Broodlands, a kind of dragons’ heaven, where the main goals is to acquire the title tears of Veeshan. The developers prepared a wide set of story missions and side quests, as well as a package of new skills – mainly the so-called dragon skills, different for different archetypes. A new character class was added in this DLC: the Channeler, along with the advanced mercenary management system, who can now be swapped “on-the-fly”. Members of guilds certainly appreciate the introduction of level-4 houses.

EverQuest II: Chains of Eternity is the 9th DLC for a MMORPG called EverQuest II, well-known and regarded since 2004. The expansion was developed by Daybreak Game Company, people who also developed the original game in 1999, and have been maintaining the franchise ever since. The plot in EverQuest II: Chains of Eternity revolves around mysterious deaths of the inhabitants of the land of Norrath – in order to solve the puzzle, heroes have to embark on a journey to the land of the dead – Ethernere, and learn the fate of an entity called Drinal, which is the overseer of that realm. The expansion introduces a slew of new locations, among them the Eidolon jungle, fields of Obol, as well as nine dungeons. What’s even more, thanks to new types of enemies, sets of inventory (organic items, which become progressively more effective throughout the game), skills and spells, the players are able to reach level 95. The list of new features also includes new story- and side quests, as well as prestige skills assigned to each class, and crafting skills.

Contrary to the previous expansion, this one doesn’t introduce new locations, focusing on tweaking the gameplay mechanics instead. The greatest novelty is the so-called Dungeon Master mode, which allows for creating custom dungeons and sharing them online. Apart from that, a character class well-known from the first game returns with this DLC, namely the Beastlord. EverQuest II: Age of Discovery also introduces a possibility of reforging items, allowing the player to enhance them with totally new stats.

The expansion was developed by Daybreak Game Company, a studio that takes care of the franchise since its birth. The plot of EverQuest II: Destiny of Velious concentrates on the twin Souls of Destiny – according to the prophecy, taking away their power will start the end of the age, a war that is supposed to consume the whole Norrath. The players are tasked with stopping such outcome. The expansion introduces 16 new locations in which the player can complete more than 300 new quests. Among the novelties there are also 6 new raids and flying mounts used for transportation. 30 new enemies will face the players, who can use new pieces of equipment, skills and abilities. Experienced players will enjoy the possibility to fight against other factions for control over underground buildings.

The expansion introduces various new features including two large areas – The Sundered Frontier and Stone Brunt Highlands with twelve new dungeons. EverQuest II: Sentinel’s Fate offers more than 400 new quests in which the player can use more than 2000 new pieces of equipment. The developers also introduced alternative offensive abilities that can be used against new opponents. The veterans of the game will embrace raised character level cap – now the characters can reach level 90. The story of this DLC concentrates on the history of Odus, the home realm of Erudite and Kerra races.

The Shadow Odyssey was created by Daybreak Game Company - a team that has developed the franchise from the very beginning. The expansion introduces over twenty new locations - both completely new areas and places that fans of the original EverQuest are familiar with (Mistmoore, Najena). Also, 18 dungeons appeared in the expansion, and those were also transferred from the original game. However, the dungeons here make use of a special system of missions, thus each time one enters a particular dungeon, the experience is different. Also, The Shadow Odyssey brings new story quests, side missions, a large set of new items, abilities and spells, as well as some previously unavailable enemy types and two new gods worshiped by the inhabitants of Norrath.

The expansion takes the player to the titular Kunark, which is a land inhabited by a race of humanoid lizards known as the Sarnak. The story focuses here on conflicts between rival factions of the Sarnak, Dragons and the Iksar Empire. Above all, the expansion introduces an extensive set of locations - including completely new zones, but also areas the fans of the original EverQuest are familiar with. Furthermore, the players were given an opportunity to try out a series of new items (including the ancient, forgotten artifacts of Kunark), but also make use of new abilities and spells. Apart from that, Rise of Kunark brings new enemy types. What is new as well, is a new mount - the Kunark Rhino, additional gods, as well as hundreds of different quests and challenges created both for newcomers and veterans of the franchise.

Echoes of Faydwer focuses on the elves and introduces a completely new nation - the Fae. Faydwer, which is the land debuting here, can be visited by the player's old character or a newly created one, who begins their journey in a new starting town, known as Kelethin. The expansion brings over 350 story quests and side missions, as well as a set of unique parts of equipment, abilities and spells. Furthermore, the creators expanded the crafting system, as well as decided to raise level cap for guilds to 60. The list of novelties introduced by the expansion ends with completely new prizes which can be obtained in the PvP mode, accompanied by smaller improvements introduced into the visuals.

Another expansion pack (after Desert of Flames) for the second installment in the EverQuest series which dates back to 1999. Since the birth of this MMORPG franchise, it has been developed by Daybreak Game Company. Kingdom of Sky takes the players to the Overrealm, which is a land located over the Norrath continent. The place is governed by various flying beings led by dragons trying to execute their plan of destroying the world beneath them. In order to prevent this from happening, the players have to complete a series of story quests, as well as countless side missions. When completing those, the players' virtual avatars will be visiting ten new locations, among which one will find both islands floating in the sky and vast underground areas. Kingdom of Sky also brings hundreds of new items, abilities and spells, as well as 25 kinds of completely new enemy types. Apart from that, the creators decided to raise level cap to 70; guilds on the other hand, can now reach level 50 at maximum. As a reward for heroic deeds, one's character is capable of becoming an important figure in the history of the EverQuest universe.

This time, the players are taken to the Desert of Ro, where the opportunity to visit the exotic city of Maj'Dul awaits. The metropolis is where the players take part in duels on the arena in order to put their combat skills to a test. Above all, the Desert of Flames expansion offers new story quests, side missions, 12 locations, 40 types of new adversaries, as well as dozens of new parts of equipment, abilities and spells. Simultaneously, the level cap was raised to 60. Furthermore, the creators decided to introduce changes and improvements to the mechanics - for instance, one's character can now climb walls and rocks in order to obtain valuable items.
