Aeon Command is the first game of the independent studio Bat Country Games, which has been commercially released (previously the developer tandem Danny Stracener - Michael Keeney worked on Exiles of Chiron, but the project was suspended). The production is addressed to lovers of simple, casual war strategies in s-f climates.

The action takes place in a distant corner of the Universe, where three opposing factions - Alliance, Exiles and Cyborgs - fight for dominance and access to resources. The plot was only scratched loosely. The player is at the forefront of one side of the conflict and tries to tip the scales of victory to his advantage.

Aeon Command's gameplay mechanics is based on very simple rules. The player's task is to develop technology and produce spacecraft capable of defeating enemy forces. The side that manages to break the opponent's defense and destroy his mother ship wins the fight.

The player has no direct control over the units. Its role is limited to the decision to start production of the unit or to work on the development of a new technology. In both cases, the limit is the amount of available resources, which are generated automatically thanks to the existing infrastructure or obtained from damaged enemy ships.

The game offers several gameplay variants. The Salt Campaign mode includes a total of 24 missions (8 for each faction) of increasing difficulty. In addition, the developers have prepared skirmish and multiplayer modes for up to two players.

From the technical point of view, Aeon Command uses the capabilities of the popular Unity engine. However, the developers decided on classic, two-dimensional graphics with a bird's eye view (top-down), which was enriched with simple animations and spectacular views of cosmic space in the background.
