Football manger named after Alex Ferguson, a long-standing coach of the English football club Manchester United. Player Manager 2003 does not differ from competitive games of this type (e.g. Total Club Manager 2003 or Championship Manager 3), it allows football fans to test themselves as a manager and coach of any team belonging to the English, Scottish, Italian, Portuguese, French, German and Dutch leagues.

In total in this title we will find 44 thousand authentic players, which could be seen on the pitch in 2003 - each football player is characterized by a number of individual parameters reflecting his physical and mental state.

Player Manager 2003 gives the player full control over the finances of the club, it also allows the player to freely set the line-up and tactics of the team and prepare a complete training cycle for both the whole team and individual players (improving the strength of players, their dribbling skills, reflex, accuracy of shots, accuracy of passes, etc.).

• A special generator that allows you to search the transfer market for a player with the desired parameters.
• Three-dimensional graphical engine, designed to allow the player to see their charges on the pitch "in action" and on the basis of their predispositions, to change the tactics of the team, its setting or training cycle.
• Each player has his own agent who takes care of his interests, i.e. he negotiates job offers, salary levels, etc. He is also a member of the football team.
• 10 different team formations. The ability to create your own special tactics and give instructions to players.
• The manager can talk individually with a specific player to raise his spirits (increase morale) or rebuke him. Four main types of conversation: Read Riot Act, Tell Home Truths, Have Heart To Heart, Praise and a number of their subtypes.
• Each player has its own role in the team, i.e. Key Player, 1st team player, Squad Player, etc.
• Three ways of buying/selling a player: searching for a football player on the free transfer market (player search), tracking young talents (scouts) and reporting the player's agent directly to the club (agents).
