Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2

In 2021, Cold Iron Studios and Focus Entertainment created Aliens: Fireteam Elite, a cooperative shooter set in the Alien universe. Subsequently, the mantle was taken over by Daybreak Game Company, best known for the EverQuest series, which delivered the sequel Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 described here.

Gameplay

In Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 the action is viewed from a third-person perspective (TPP). The game is divided into combat missions during which we explore an extraterrestrial colony, engage in conversations with NPCs, and gather clues about the events that took place there. Most importantly, we fight against xenomorphs that stand in our way.

Characters, arsenal and skills

Compared to its predecessor, this title stands out due to the presence of predefined characters and players control them during the game. Each character has a nickname, individual personality, as well as a unique set of skills and preferred weaponry.

1. Artemis specializes in close combat and fights at a distance using throwing axes and two pistols.
2. Heavily armed Atlas uses a minigun and cannons on the battlefield.
3. Nix operates stealthily, utilizing a cloaking device and a sniper rifle.
4. Chiron has access to scanning drones and other technological advancements, eliminating enemies with two pistols.
5. Vulcan is a commander who provides various reinforcements to the squad, can deploy protective shields, and heal wounded comrades, while his weapon is a railgun.

All characters can perform dodges, engage in melee attacks, and use passive bonuses to enhance their combat effectiveness. The system is complemented by special and ultimate abilities inspired by classes from the first installment of the series.
