A first-person farming simulator set in a fantasy world. In Among the Wild we play as a young farmer. It's our job to take care of the farm, catch and then breed various creatures, and participate in adventures based on combat and exploration.

Among The Wild is a first-person perspective game. It's mostly about farming, dealing with unruly creatures and exploring the world. The game is characterized by a graphic design full of colors, and its gameplay model was created with single player in mind.

It is the debut project of the independent Swedish studio Nuggets Entertainment, which drew inspiration from games such as Stardew Valley, Viva Pinata and the Slime Rancher series.

Gameplay

Among The Wild takes us to a fantasy world inhabited by numerous creatures with different physiognomy and behavior. We take on the role of a young farmer who is given the opportunity to create a paradise farm, gradually expanding it with new buildings, fields and farmsteads. We are also engaged in plant cultivation (pumpkins, cabbages and many others), beekeeping, and we use a smokehouse or barrels for fermentation. The game offers plenty of opportunities to pursue other crafts, including cooking, fishing, and trading with residents of nearby villages.

The key element of Among The Wild are the mentioned creatures that we can catch and then place in pens. Depending on their type, they can lay eggs, perform small tasks on the farm, and also serve as carriers or mounts. Different creatures require different diets or meeting their specific needs. Over time, we gain the opportunity to develop the creatures, while for most of the time we still have to take care of them. It's also worth remembering that due to their rebellious characters and tendencies they can run away.

The game is also characterized by an adventure aspect. We can explore various lands, reaching some of them through special portals. In Among The Wild we also face opponents or visit mines, searching for valuable crystals.
