Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Complete Edition is a collection of two jRPG games released between 2015-2018 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita - Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Hacker's Memory. Both productions are set in the universe of the popular anime Digimon, and the summoning of the title creatures plays an important role in the game. Both productions were developed by Media.Vision studio. They have been published by the well-known Japanese company Bandai Namco Entertainment and the same applies to this package.

Plot

The action of the Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Complete Edition takes place in the near future, at a time when the borderline between the real world and the digital world is so blurred that events in one of them affect the other. The plot of the first part focuses on the character Takumi / Ami Arabi (we can choose the gender of the hero) and the conflict with thirteen powerful digimonami-warriors, the Royal Knights (such as Gallantmon, Magnamon or UlforceVeedramona). The second game tells the story of the hacker group Hudie, which we meet as a teenager Keisuke Amazawa.

Mechanics

The productions included in the Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Complete Edition package belong to the jRPG sub-genre. In both cases we are dealing with three-dimensional titles, in which the action is observed from the third person perspective. The productions allow you to explore the vast locations set in Tokyo (Shibuya district).

An important part of the game are also fights played in the turn-based system, during which we call the title digimons - in the productions you can find several hundred varieties of these creatures. We can collect and develop these creatures. Each of them has its own strengths and characteristic special attacks.

Game modes

The first of the Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Complete Edition games can only be played on our own. The production offers an extensive feature campaign. In the continuation we will also find a multiplayer mode called Domination, which allows you to fight with the use of digimon fighting for control of the territory (you can play both socially, in a special ranking, and in a special module with variable rules).

Technical aspects

Digimon Story: The Cyber Sleuth Complete Edition has a decent three-dimensional graphic design. The models of the characters and the environment are detailed and allude in artistic style to the animated prototype. The fun is also diversified by spectacular animations and light effects, which accompany attacks and special abilities.
