Battle for Atlantis is an extremely dynamic arcade game, in which we play as one of the most famous DC superheroes. Aquaman was born in the heads of two people - Paul Norris and Mort Weisinger. He was a figure from the mythical kingdom of Atlantis. Aquaman was able to stay underwater without any limitations, communicate telepathically, or travel with great speeds. As you can easily guess, there were many villains in the superhero's way. The devs have decided to use several of these characters. In the game, Aquaman must defeat such monsters as Ocean Master, Black Manta, or Lava Lord. TDK Mediactive is responsible for the release of the game, the company also known for such titles as Shrek 2: The Game, Robotech: Battlecry, or Dinotopia: The Sunstone Odyssey. This game was slated to be released on Xbox and Gamecube before it was cancelled.

The gameplay combines many different genres. The game offers elements typical for beat'em up games. In such cases, the game resembles classic three-dimensional fighting games. However, there is exploration of the underwater world, during which the main character is observed from the third-person perspective. Aquaman can, of course, use the aforementioned powers. Cybernetic harpoon also deserves attention, which is especially useful during battles with hostile creatures.

The devs have prepared a dozen or so different levels, which are completed in a set order. In addition, Aquaman: Battle for Atlantis contains a simple multiplayer for two people, in which duels are played on split-screen. Visually, the game looks quite average. Only the diverse and colorful environment deserves attention. The character models, however, are below average.
