The second DLC for Atomfall (after Wicked Isle) - a first-person action game with RPG and survival elements, developed by Rebellion studio (creators of Sniper Elite series). Atomfall: The Red Strain expansion introduces a new Moriah Test Area location, along with new quests, enemies, silenced weapon and a combat ability.

Technical aspects

In March 2025, the portfolio of Rebellion studio expanded with a first-person action game with elements of RPG and survival. That game was Atomfall and it quickly received its first story expansion, titled Wicked Isle. After the next three months, the developers handed over to the players the second add-on, The Red Strain.

New features in the expansion

Atomfall: The Red Strain brings a new location, arsenal and skill, as well as new enemies.

Moriah Test Area

The biggest novelty introduced in Atomfall: The Red Strain is a map that was not available before. We're talking about the Moriah Test Area, a secret research station hiding numerous secrets, which fell into unauthorized hands after the quarantine was introduced. This place was located on the site of a former rocket testing center, and was known for secret government experiments.

Of course, visiting the Moriah Test Area is an opportunity for us to unravel its mystery, as well as to discover new plot elements that intertwine with the main story and influence its ending.

New weapon and combat ability

Additionally, for the purposes of this add-on, a silenced firearm was prepared, which allows attacking enemies from hiding, as well as the ability to carry heavy guns torn from the robots neutralized by us. There are also unseen adversaries here.
