Barkhan is a real-time strategy game inspired by Dune II. It was developed by Glyph Worlds, the joint Ukrainian-Russian studio responsible for War Selection.

Plot

The game is set in the distant future, on a desert planet rich in rare minerals. There are three factions warring for the control over this world. The player leads one of them, their objective being to eliminate their rivals.

Mechanics

Barkhan is a classic turn-based strategy. Throughout the game we gather resources, build bases, train units and use them in battles.

Each of the three available factions is different, requiring different strategy to command effectively. The Clan of Power relies on heavy armored units. The Clan of Will prefers fast, precise attacks, while the Clan of Trickery specializes in advanced technology.

As if our enemies weren't enough, the desert sands are home to massive desert serpents, which get attracted to the sounds of human activity. This makes each mission a race against time - we must complete our objectives and gather resources before the beasts arrive.
