Game mechanics

Betrayal At Club Low combines elements of the point-n-click adventure and RPG genres. We explore locations, collect items, hold conversations and solve puzzles.

Strong RPG elements have been added to these adventure standards. The protagonist is described with a number of statistics that we can develop. Most challenges require us not only to be clever, but also to successfully test our character's skills, implemented in the form of dice rolls modeled on tabletop role-playing games. The fun is enriched by a variety of ingenious mini-games.

The game is largely non-linear, and many problems have several solutions. In addition, our decisions, as well as failures and successes, shape the development of the story and lead us to one of 11 alternative endings.

Game modes

Betrayal At Club Low offers only singleplayer gameplay. The game has several difficulty modes, which affect the type of challenges and many story elements, so the whole thing can be played through multiple times, each time getting fresh plots.

Technical aspects

The game features highly unusual graphics. It is fully three-dimensional and was done in a sloppy, simplistic style, reminiscent of early 3D animations from the first half of the 1990s. Such execution works well with the atmosphere of the game and the surrealism of the realities created by the authors.
