The Bus Simulator 2012 is the work of the TML-Studios development team, which specializes in simulations of public transport means (including City Bus Simulator 2010, Bus and tram simulator: San Francisco and World of Subways 3: London Underground). According to the title, the player has the opportunity to play the role of a bus driver, and his duties include efficient and punctual service of connections in the area of the virtual metropolis. The creators prepared two variants of the game, allowing to perform a number of missions of increasing difficulty level or to take care of free riding in a sizable city.

The vehicles available in the game include several types of buses, both single and multi-member (articulated). The lack of official licenses made it impossible for developers to place official logos of particular brands, but the careful mapping of models, including their technical parameters, allows to see large similarities with authentic buses operating on European roads.
