CastleAbra is a point'n'click adventure game with a view from the first person's perspective, maintained in a fairy-tale, humorous style.
We get to know the story of a knight who tries to find Princess Myrne Loo, who is imprisoned in the castle. The woman rejected the magician's love, so he cast a charm on her and hid in his fortress.
In order to find Myrne Loo, we have to get to know the wizard beforehand, gain his trust and even sympathy by hiding our real intentions. This will make it easier for us to infiltrate the castle and discover more tips to help us find the princess.
For the hero awaits puzzles to solve, dangerous traps to bypass and enemies to defeat, like griffins or bears. On your way, besides the wizard himself, you will also meet Wizardo, a mysterious brother-in-law, blonde hairy Valentino and a sweet but unhappy in love octopus named Olive.
The developer provided us with about 100 hand-painted locations. We visit dark dungeons, cool corridors of the castle, as well as the mysterious forest stretching around it.
The graphic design is modest, even for this type of production. The backgrounds are dominated by pastel colours and the locations are poor in detail.
