Game mechanics

In Cleo: A Pirate's Tale we usually watch the action from the top-down view. Game offers us a vast world, which consists of many different islands. During the journey we meet various characters; although pirates are the most important, there are also other characters such as talkative parrots, ghosts and mermaids. By talking to them (as befits a title inspired by LucasArts games, conversations can be strange), we learn more and more about the game world, as well as receive tips that can be useful in completing tasks or solving puzzles. Speaking of puzzles, we can find some that require finding a particular item and using it in a specific way (or combining it with another one), as well as those that involve manipulating levers.

What's interesting is the fact that there are no wrong choices here; it's also impossible to die. In between the great adventures we can indulge in the so-called Kraken Fodder, a card game played by local pirates.

Technical aspects

Cleo: A Pirate's Tale features simple but colorful, clear and quite enchanting graphics made in pixel art technique. It runs on Unity technology.
