Cosmonautica for PC is a somewhat humoristic approach to sandbox space simulators. The game focuses on the economic aspect of the gameplay. It’s the second game developed by Chasing Carrots, an independent German studio known for its debut title – an arcade racing game called Pressure.

Plot

The player begins the game as a captain of a space ship. Our task is to build a small company focused around intergalactic trade. As a result, we have to explore the galaxy (built from randomly generated star systems) in search of various goods that are capable of creating a profit. We can pick up various quests found at space ports, further increasing the income of the company. Our spaceship often takes part in various scraps – many of the quests end with a firefight. Interestingly enough, aside from the main, sandbox mode, the game contains the ability to take part in single scenarios – the players can create and share them with other users.
