Curiosity: What's Inside the Cube? Description
Curiosity: What’s inside the cube? is the first in the series of 22 experiment games by Peter Molyneux and his studio, 22 Cans. This title is the first step in the creation of a revolutionary production that in Molyneux’s intention is going to change the gaming industry.
Curiosity is a simple arcade game in which the player’s main task is to smash a huge cube comprised of milions of small squares, and to do is as fast as possible. The title allows up to a million players to play simultaneously. To accomplish the aforementioned goal, we use various kinds of virtual chisels. The cheapest one, made of iron, costs 1 dollar, while the most expensive one, made of diamond, is priced at 78 thousand dollars and is 10 thousand times more effective than the basic one.
It is an experimental game, aimed primarily at examining human reactions connected with basic instincts. For this very reason, it does not offer distinguishing visuals or soundtrack and the eponymous 3D cube was placed in a sterile, empty space. Its content is a mystery which Molyneux described as a one “to change one’s life”.
