Mechanics

Dead or Alive: Xtreme 3 for PS4 and PSV is action-based and, depending on game mode, it is governed by various rules. For example, in beach volleyball player participates in matches between two-person teams. The matches are based on real rules, but they lack any tactical depth and are purely action-based. In rock climbing the player must press buttons that appear on the screen. It is also possible to play cards or run across the beach towards the flag.

Playerís activity during the game is rewarded with new costumes for the female protagonists. The girls can also go on dates or take pictures in Photo Paradise mode.

The following characters are playable in Dead or Alive: Xtreme 3 for PS4 and PSV: Marie Rose, Honoka, Kasumi, Ayane, Kokoro, Nyotengu, Hitomi, Momiji and Helena Douglas. All of them are usually wearing swimsuits that barely cover intimate parts of their bodies.

Misc.

The title was released under two titles. It was released on PlayStation 4 as Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Fortune and as Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Venus on PlayStation Vita. Both versions are basically the same and they only differ in the quality of graphics (PS4 uses Soft Engine 2.0 that is responsible for realistic physics of breasts). Additionally, in January 2017 the PlayStation 4 version started supporting PlayStation VR.
