Death in the Water 2

Mechanics

Death in the Water 2 is a shooter, in which the player controls a diver. The game revolves around going on underwater expeditions in search of treasure. The waters are filled with predators, though they aren't aggressive at first - as long as we don't provoke them first. After a while, however, a kraken awakens and takes over the minds of all underwater creatures, both animals such as sharks, and supernatural monsters like mermaids. From that point on, they all actively search for the player to kill them.

Enemies attack in waves. Each wave is more dangerous than the last, forcing the player to balance the risks and decide which treasures are worth venturing for.

Acquired loot can be spent on better equipment, letting the player venture into more dangerous areas, containing better loot but also tougher enemies. In the end, the player must face the kraken itself.

There are a variety of locations available in Death in the Water 2. The player explores wrecks, reefs, caves, ruins and open waters. The game is made more interesting by advanced enemy AI, as the sea creatures hunt the player using their sight, hearing and smell.

Game modes

The game can only be played in singleplayer.
