An adventure game with RPG and survival elements developed by Chibig. In Deiland, the players get to follow the adventures of a boy named Arco, who lives on a small planet that hides a magic crystal.
Deiland is an adventure game developed by Chibig and funded through a Kickstarter campaign. Thanks to the acquired funds, the developers were able to publish the game.
The game tells a story of a boy named Arco. He is the youngest among children who once were sent to the smallest planet in the galaxy. Their objective is to awake the magic of crystal hidden inside these small globes. The main protagonist wound up on the titular planet of Deiland, which is so small that it resembles the planet known from the Little Prince novel.
Deiland is a game that combines features of different genres. In general, this is an adventure game, however, there are multiple RPG and survival mechanics. There are around one hundred quests to complete, however, that is not all that players can do. The main protagonist has to take care of himself – Arco needs food and rest. The first need can be satisfied by farming. The boy seeds different plants, tends to crops, and harvests them; he can also fish. Each activity requires the player to obtain proper tools that can be created via the crafting system with the found resources and blueprints – together, there are over fifty of those. They allow players to create items necessary for work as well as cooking dishes and drinks with unique properties.
Moreover, Arco needs a shelter. In Deiland, there are twelve types of buildings and four levels of a house. Apart from surviving, players also have to repel enemy raids. They can be beaten with weapons and magic spells. The game features also a simple character development system. The main protagonist earns experience necessary to increase his strength, intelligence, agility, and stamina – all of which prove useful when fighting increasingly powerful opponents.
Deiland features decent visuals with cartoonish style and lively colors. Players are also bound to appreciate the day and night cycle and changing weather conditions.

Sirus Gaming: 7.7 / 10 by May Alturas
Overall this isn’t a perfect game but there are tiny and intricate details that I really find unique and whimsical. I like the fact that you are able to zoom out of the planet and do a full rotation. This is quite helpful in mushroom hunting and this also helps in strategically landing meteorites that will help you collect Crystals and foreign seeds. I liked looking at my planet from this view because I can see the progress that I am making. The fauna and trees scattered about to look like pimples on someone’s face but not gross at all. I loved the fact that there is a night/day cycle, weather changes that you can take advantage of an unlimited inventory storage. Definitely not for everyone, but players that need a casual, calm, take-your-time gameplay then this is absolutely for you.

Deiland is a fun and colorful indie release that is very relaxing to play. Even with the enemies that attack you every now and then, the overall experience is very Zen-like, as you'll be spending time chopping some wood, breaking rocks to get stones and minerals, fishing at the pond, harvesting your crops, picking up wild berries, taking on quests. It's a great effort from Chibig, and I look forward to seeing what the team does next.

Deiland is an adorable little farming simulator which will appeal to lovers of games such as Harvest Moon and Stardew Valley. The game does have it's fair share of monotonous grinding/farming for resources so you can sell them for money in order to buy more things – so whether you'll like it will probably come down to if you like simulation games like this. Other than the aforementioned titles, Deiland is a great farming simulator on the PS4 which is accessible by people of all ages as there isn't anything too difficult involved.
