The yet-to-be-officially announced third installment in the popular sci-fi looter shooter series, coming from Bungie studio. According to credible leaks, Destiny 3 (hypothetical title) could be released even after the year 2030.
Destiny is a series of looter shooters and its development has become one of the pillars of Bungie Software's activities over the years. Both its first installment released in 2014 and the second part released three years later received extensive support in the form of numerous add-ons (especially the "second" game). Although the developers were considering starting work on its third installment, they abandoned those plans in June 2020 in favor of extending support for Destiny 2.
Over time, however, the team became ready to move forward. The end of November 2025 brought unofficial but credible reports (as they came from informants at Colony Leaks, known for reliable info on Bungie's activities) about Destiny 3. According to the leakers, the project was at a "very early" stage of production at that time, and work on it was expected to go full steam ahead only after the conclusion of the Fate saga, which began with The Edge of Fate expansion for Destiny 2.
The game's release was thus a distant prospect, potentially occurring even after 2030.

Destiny is a series of first-person shooters with a touch of MMO and RPG elements. The series combines a science fiction climate with fantasy elements: players take on the role of futuristic warriors using both firearms and supernatural powers. The main job here is to eliminate soldiers of alien races that serve the ancient cosmic Darkness. During the execution of missions, even the story missions, we can encounter other players and cooperate with them. The fun is accompanied by acquiring better and better weapons and armor, known from erpegs, as well as climbing to new experience levels and unlocking new skills.
Bungie announced that they have abandoned their plans to develop Destiny 3. Instead, the team will be developing Destiny 2 over the next few years, with plans for three expansions and restoration of some elements from the first installment. In addition, D2 will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
