An expansion for the popular 2017 looter shooter from Bungie studio. Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate is considered a beginning of a new saga, taking us to the Kepler planetoid. We gain access to skills based on dark matter and an expanded arsenal, allowing us to deal with new threats.
Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate is an expansion for the popular looter shooter from 2017. It was developed by Bungie studio, previously responsible for the development of the Halo series. This expansion marks the beginning of a completely new saga, developed over the course of subsequent DLCs.
Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate primarily brings a story campaign that allows us to face a new threat. During the game, we land on the Kepler asteroid, where a forgotten human colony is located. Our paths once again cross with the Nine (mysterious and powerful beings, who existed long before the Wanderer).
There are two main story characters in the DLC, namely Lod (a new ally arriving from afar), and Ikora (Warlock Vanguard). We get to know them over the course of successive missions that are the pillar of the campaign. In addition to the extra story missions, the creators have also prepared a previously unavailable raid.
Thanks to the so-called world tiers, we can decide on the level of difficulty of the gameplay. The higher the levels, the greater the challenges we have to face, but also the more valuable the rewards that await us. Besides, higher levels provide access to a larger number of plot threads.
Kepler is a place where abundant amounts of dark matter accumulate. It is a source of power that fuels the new abilities of the Guardians, such as Matterspark. It allows us to change forms, which in turn enables things like squeezing through narrow passages or developing enormous speeds and ramming everything that comes our way.
The add-on also brings the Relocator cannon (allowing teleportation), as well as the Mattermorph (allowing manipulation of the environment). The icing on the cake are the unseen enemy types, like swarms of kobolds, or Vex drones, as well as the diabolical pirates of the Fallen.
Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate is a non-standalone expansion, so it requires the base version of Destiny 2.

Destiny is a series of first-person shooters with a touch of MMO and RPG elements. The series combines a science fiction climate with fantasy elements: players take on the role of futuristic warriors using both firearms and supernatural powers. The main job here is to eliminate soldiers of alien races that serve the ancient cosmic Darkness. During the execution of missions, even the story missions, we can encounter other players and cooperate with them. The fun is accompanied by acquiring better and better weapons and armor, known from erpegs, as well as climbing to new experience levels and unlocking new skills.
The first team to complete Destiny 2's newest raid, The Desert Perpetual, had a team name Bungie didn't want to share, and fans were quick to notice.

Story aside, this would be one of Destiny 2's more forgettable campaigns. But thanks to its wide-ranging overhauls, it's become memorable for all the wrong reasons.

Destiny 2’s decline has been a long time coming, and The Edge of Fate only speeds it along. A dull epilogue paired with frustrating mechanics does little to justify its existence. The real improvements came from the free updates, not the expansion itself, not that it saves that much, anyway.
