An arcade production developed by XMPT Games. Players take part in disc duels which require not only working out a proper tactic, but also skills and quick reactions. The backbone of DiscStorm is the multiplayer mode, in which players battle each other in special arenas – the key to success lies in hitting your opponents without being being hit yourself. Once you run out of lives, you drop out of the tournament.

Developed by XMPT Games, DiscStorm for PC and PSV is a multiplayer arcade production. The player assumes the role of a fighter armed with special discs. The action is dynamic, so mastery of skills and swift fingers are essential for success.

Plot

Even though this is primarily a multiplayer production, there is a single player campaign. The story is not very deep – your goal is to become the Disc Master who is basically a warrior who attained mastery of using this bizarre weapon. The single player mode serves as a kind of training before the real deal – battles with other players.

Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if this game appears on browsers in the next year, and this same team will take off the training wheels and fully express their creative freedom in a truly definitive future product.

DiscStorm has a core that's well designed and engaging, especially when the player faces enemies who are able to throw their own discs and move around well.
