Dokyusei: Bangin' Summer is a romantic adventure game. It is a remake of a classic game of this type, which was released in 1992 in Japan and never got an English-language version. The original was developed by Elf studio, and Fanza Games and SILKY'S PLUS teams are responsible for the refreshed version.

Plot

Players take on the role of a Japanese high school student who is about to graduate. The protagonist has spent half the summer working hard after school to earn the money needed to hit on one of his classmates.

The action of Dokyusei: Bangin' Summer takes place over the course of three weeks. The player can try to win the heart of one of fourteen girls during that time. Each of these girls has a unique backstory and personality, offering a different story.

Game mechanics

The game belongs to the genre called dating-sim. So it unites mechanisms typical for visual novel adventure games, in which we follow the plot and make decisions at key moments, with light sim elements, reflecting the everyday life of the main character and influencing his relationships with other characters.

The player must carefully manage his time, go to the right places in the city and learn about the desires, secrets and preferences of the chosen ones in order to make them fall in love with him.

Technical aspects

As befits a remake, Dokyusei: Bangin' Summer features completely new audiovisuals. The pixelated images have been replaced with high-resolution graphics. Character audio has been added, which was missing from the original. The developers have also implemented optional interface tweaks to facilitate gameplay.

Other information

Game is available in two versions. Steam edition is devoid of erotic scenes. On the other hand, uncensored edition was made available in Johren service.
