Don't Be Afraid is a survival horror adventure game in which, unlike most of the species, we do not play the role of an adult, but of a child fighting for survival. The game was developed by the independent Polish studio Broken Arrow Games and published by the native company Hydra Games.
The main character of Don't Be Afraid is an 11-year-old boy named David. The boy was kidnapped by a strange, masked man and locked in a terrifying house. Although he is paralysed by fear and the feeling of being under constant observation, he must try to find a way to escape from this nightmare while not letting him be caught by the sadist who imprisoned him.
In Don't Be Afraid we observe the action from the first person perspective (FPP). During the game, we explore twelve thrilling locations, solve environmental puzzles, and look for pieces of information about the history of the mysterious house and its inhabitants. This is complicated by the fact that the rooms are full of traps and sometimes enemies, each of which has specific skills. Our actions may lead to one of the three endings of the story.
The graphic design of Don't Be Afraid presents good quality. The heavy atmosphere is built here by both the economical lighting of the location and the specific soundtrack.
