Dragon Nest is the first game in the South Korean studio Eyedentity Games. Work on the title has been going on since 2007. Developers have set themselves the goal of creating a PC MMORPG with a "console" control and gameplay system. The title debuted in March 2010 on the Korean market. A few months later the game was released in China and the development studio became a part of Shanda Games.

Dragon Nest is set in the fantastic land of Lagendia, once created by the goddess Altea. Unfortunately, the deity was poisoned by its treacherous sister, Vestinel. The only rescue for Altei is the magical cup, which was the source of poison. However, he disappeared somewhere in Lagendia.... Inhabitant heroes must find the power stones that will enable them to awaken the goddess from sleep for a while, and the goddess will show them the place where the cup is.

As befits an MMORPG in Dragon Nest, players create and develop their own hero. The creators have prepared four classes of characters - warrior, archer, cleric and sorceress (in some editions there is also a dorm), each with different skills, equipment and appearance. The game consists of performing various tasks assigned by NPCs and fighting monsters (PvE) or avatars of other participants (PvP). The clash mechanics is designed for seamless gameplay with the use of various control devices, including console pads. By leading out attacks, players don't have to target enemies.

Dragon Nest's visual setting was made in manga style. Player-controlled characters move in a three-dimensional world dominated by bright colours. The quality of textures and animation is adequate to the game's hardware requirements.
