Earthworms is an old-school 2D point-and-click adventure game, set in a surreal sci-fi world, based on such works as Donnie Darko, The X-Files, Stranger Things, and Twin Peaks. The production was developed by an indie Polish studio All Those Moments.
You play as Daniel White, a psychic detective. His visions help him solve cases. White travels to a small fishing village to find a missing teenage girl. However, it's only the beginning of a much larger story, which also involves a dangerous global conspiracy.
Earthworms is classic point-and-click adventure game. The gameplay involves exploring locations (34 of them in total), talking to NPCs, and gathering and using items. Sometimes you have to solve relatively simple, but still quite demanding puzzles. That's how you learn more about the story.
Earthworms features only a single player mode.
The game features 2D visuals, created with hand-drawn pictures inspired by the works of Edward Hopper. Thanks to the unusual style and distinct colors, Earthworms looks very good overall.
