ElectriX: Electro Mechanic Simulator PC

ElectriX: Electro Mechanic is a simulator that enables the players to take on the role of an electrician leading the workshop in Seattle. The protagonist deals with repairs of various types of electronic equipment, both modern and retro - consoles, computers, TVs and smartphones. The game offers several dozen devices. SimFabric (authors of Mushrooms: Forest Walker and Farm&Fix 2020) is responsible for its creation and publishing.

Plot

The player takes on the role of the owner of an electrical workshop under the name ElectriX. One day, the protagonist receives an exceptionally well-paid mobile phone repair order. The device turns out to have a connection with a dark conspiracy that can threaten the main character. Only our knowledge and skills can save us.

Mechanics

The main task in ElectriX: Electro Mechanic is to repair various types of equipment. In the game we can find dozens of different models consisting of more than a thousand parts. We start each order with a cost analysis (if it turns out to be higher, we can ask for more money or refuse to do the job).

Then we move on to the repair process itself. We can either replace broken parts or try to repair them, e.g. by soldering some parts. The game requires us to think and analyze. We can't just click on the options appearing on the screen - doing so will easily damage the hardware. Worse still, the advice given by customers is not always helpful.

We also have the possibility to purchase defective devices in order to obtain parts from them or to repair and resell them. We develop our skills by paying for special online courses. We can also invest in the main character's hobby, which is... hacking.

The player also has access to a number of additional options, such as drinking coffee (restores energy for work), playing repaired consoles or watching movies on smartphones. We can even equip ourselves with a computer to mine cryptocurrency - the machine will provide us with more money, especially if we invest in it properly (e.g. by buying a better graphics card).

From time to time the player also makes choices that affect the storyline.

ElectriX: Electro Mechanic offers only a single player mode.

Technical aspects

ElectriX: Electro Mechanic features simple, three-dimensional visuals. On the screen, most often have our workbench, on which we can see the objects we are repairing. Particularly noteworthy are the models of individual devices, which are appropriately complicated and resemble the equipment known from the real world.
