Ever Oasis is another game from the Japanese studio Grezzo, created in cooperation with Nintendo. Ever Oasis is an action RPG that focuses on world exploration and combat. Tethu, the game's protagonist, has to not only find his missing brother, but also create a well-functioning oasis in the middle of a desert to help him prepare for the confrontation with the forces of Chaos.
Japanese studio Grezzo has been cooperating with Nintendo since the beginning of its existence, giving us such productions as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D or The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes. Another project created together with the Japanese giant is Ever Oasis for 3DS. The game was developed by Koichi Ishii - a famous developer, considered to be the creator of the Mana series.
The game tells the story of a character called Tethu, whose task is to create an efficient oasis in the middle of the desert. However, this is not a goal in itself, because the boy (or girl, because we can choose their gender) is looking for their missing brother, and such a base would provide a foothold for subsequent expeditions and will enable us to prepare for the fight against the forces of Chaos.
Ever Oasis is a three-dimensional action RPG, based primarily on combat and exploration. By performing various missions - usually boiling down to going to one of the desert caves, solving puzzles and defeating the creatures inhabiting the - we acquire the necessary materials and "dewadems", the in-game currency. Thanks to these elements we are able to construct more shops in the oasis and buy better equipment, useful in the course of the next tasks. In addition, during the adventure we meet various characters, which sometimes help us in the expedition, or permanently reside in the settlement we create. The game's real-time combat is purely arcade and is based on dodging, erolling and attacking at the right time, the system also enables us to switch between the characters in our party at any time.
Ever Oasis is a good-looking game, especially for the capabilities offered by 3DS. Developers took care of various locations and opponents, smooth animation and, above all, interesting, fairytale-like esthetics.

There are issues with the game, but honestly, I think Ever Oasis is a blast. Building up my little spot of heaven, running errands for the residents, and venturing out into the great sandy plains outside my garden gate provide equal thrills. The longer I play, the more I enjoy it and that is far more uncommon than it should be. If this game is to be the first of a new franchise, it's a damn good starting point.

In Ever Oasis you're trying to make your oasis grow, and as you do, so does your strength, and your relationships. It's a straight-forward, simple action RPG that takes some inspirations from Harvest Moon and The Legend of Zelda, but none of those are a bad thing. Ever Oasis feels distinct and unique enough to be its own, strong title – if you haven't abandoned your 3DS for the Switch yet, Ever Oasis is yet another great 3DS game.
