Exogate Initiative

Exogate Initiative is a science-fiction strategy game. It was developed by the French studio Xeno Bits.

Mechanics

The game is a real-time strategy emphasizing economics. The playable character of Exogate Initiative is the manager of a secret underground facility, housing a gate dedicated to instant interplanetary travel.

We start off the game by building a base and recruiting our crew. Afterwards we must expand the facility with new rooms, handle our workers' physical and mental conditions as well as the growth of their abilities. Each worker has a unique personality, which influences how they fulfill their duties and the relationships they dynamically form with their co-workers.

Sending crews out on missions to alien planets is a key part of the game. Each such expedition is dangerous but potentially lucrative. They're carried out automatically, the player's only input being making decisions at key moments.
