Exoprimal

Exoprimal is a multiplayer shooter. Game, which lets us stand against hordes of bloodthirsty dinosaurs, was developed by Capcom.

Plot

Exprimal is set in the near future. In 2040, the Earth was attacked by dinosaurs, whose hordes destroy cities all over the globe. Fortunately, not everything is lost yet, because a powerful corporation Aibius joined the fight against them. It has developed an advanced AI known as Leviathan, capable of predicting the next targets of prehistoric reptiles, and also created powerful exoskeletons that make their users true killing machines. We take on the role of exofighters - soldiers who try to end the invasion.

Game mechanics

In Exoprimal we observe the action from the third person perspective (TPP). Game allows us to use wide range of exoskeletons, varied in terms of appearance, armament and combat skills. We are talking about assault models, such as Zephyr created for close combat or Deadeye oriented on the elimination of enemies at a distance, tanks like Roadblock equipped with a shield, as well as support exoskeletons, such as Witchdoctor which heals allies. The game allows us to change armour on the fly, so we can react to the situation on the battlefield and respond to the needs of our team.

We take part in missions, completing the tasks set before us and eliminating hordes of enemies. We have to deal with groups of walking and flying dinosaurs (which play the role of cannon fodder), as well as with powerful specimens (acting as bosses), led by tyrannosaurus.

Game modes

Exoprimal allows only to play in multiplayer mode. The basic game mode - Dino Survival - in an interesting way combines elements of cooperation and competition. Two teams of five players enter the battlefield and, even though they have common goals, they compete with each other to see which of them manages to complete all the tasks first. Interestingly, the mission objectives adapt to the players' skill levels, among other things.

Technical aspects

Graphics in Exoprimal is quite good. Although in terms of quality it is far from Capcom's greatest achievements, the detailed exoskeletons and realistically animated dinosaurs are very pleasing.
