Farm Manager 2018 for PC is an economy strategy game, in which a player has to manage his arable farm. The game has been developed by the Polish Cleversan Software and published by PlayWay.
Mechanics
Initially, a player gets to control a small farm and is tasked with turning it into an agricultural giant. The game offers over twenty types of crops, fruit, and vegetables. One can take care of his agricultural business with the help of his workers or using diverse machinery. Moreover, a player has to tend to the plants (e.g. by irrigating them) and pay attention to them after the time of harvest, as the crops can be warehoused for a limited amount of time.
The PC release of Farm Manager 2018 is not limited only to tillage. The developers did not forget about the option to breed animals for meat and to produce e.g. milk, eggs, and honey. When managing the agricultural business, one regularly has to visit veterinarians and inseminators.
A player gets at his disposal nearly forty diversified agricultural machines. One can purchase both new and used vehicles; however, the latter ones are more vulnerable to breakdowns. Moreover, during the game, a player can erect multiple types of buildings featuring e.g. garages and processing plants producing butter, cheese, and milk directly from one's farm. A player has to pay attention to changing weather conditions and seasons of the year, which affect his business enterprise (e.g. with floods, droughts, and hoar frosts).
Game modes
Farm Manager 2018 for PC offers a single player campaign comprising fifteen separate scenarios and the free mode, in which a player does not have any predetermined tasks to fulfill. Moreover, the developers have implemented into the game tools allowing us to modify the content or add new elements.
