Frozen Flame PC

Frozen Flame is a survival game enriched with RPG elements. The game was prepared for multiplayer, and the independent studio Dreamside Interactive is responsible for its development.

Plot

Frozen Flame takes us on a journey to the fantastic world of Arkana, where the frozen flame provides magical power. The mysterious cataclysm that haunted this place brought people and dragons to the brink of extinction and turned the remaining living beings into mad monsters. Those who have managed to survive must do everything to stop this destructive force.

Mechanics

In Frozen Flame we observe the action from the third person perspective (TPP). The devs give us a vast world, which consists of both picturesque open airs and gloomy dungeons. By walking through them (which diversifies the possibility of using a makeshift hang-glider), we perform tasks pushing the plot forward, which are disturbed by numerous enemies. Battles are dynamic and we eliminate enemies by using cold and ranged weapons or magic.

As we progress, we develop our character, gaining new skills and improving those already possessed; among them we will find both those that are useful in battle and other kinds of ability to tame wild creatures. We also get better and better equipment or produce it on the basis of an extensive crafting system. The raw materials are useful not only for creating objects, but also for building our own shelter, which is our base of departure. Memory Shards also play an important role, thanks to which we can learn more about the history of the game world.

Game modes

Although dedicated servers have been prepared for Frozen Flame, nothing stands in the way of creating your own with individual settings. The main game mode is Cataclysm, in which up to fifty people can play, and the game is divided into cycles. After each of the cycle, the state of the game world is reset, and players retain some of their progress. Thanks to this, with time, all the participants of the fight become better prepared for a skirmish with the final boss.

Technical aspects

The graphic design of Frozen Flame was maintained in a colorful, cartoon-like style.
