Airport Control Simulator

Global ATC Simulator is an advanced simulation game that comprehensively recreates the work of the airport control tower and arrival/departure controllers. The title was published by the efforts of the German company Aerosoft, and its sole author is Robert Miroszewski.

Our responsibilities in the game include managing air traffic, preventing collisions and guiding departing and arriving aircraft to the correct runway. However, what distinguishes Global ATC Simulator from other games of this type is the unprecedented scale in which we operate. Global ATC Simulator focuses not only on the work of one particular airport, but on the entire global air traffic, concentrated around nearly 14,000 airports around the world.

The unquestionable advantage of Global ATC Simulator is very high realism. There are 100 of the world's most famous airlines in the game, and their number increases with each update by the author. 80 models of aircraft, used all over the world, with their most important parameters, were reproduced in detail. In the course of our work we have to take into account such elements as the size of a given machine, its manoeuvrability or climbing and falling coefficients. For example, the massive Airbus A380 will need much more space on the runway than any other aircraft. It is worth highlighting that the game uses the same database as most airports on Earth, taking into account the procedures and restrictions in force at each of the mapped airports. The whole is complemented by the weather, dynamically changing on the basis of current data (this option requires an active connection to the Internet).

In terms of binding, Global ATC Simulator represents a rather minimalistic approach, focusing on maps, charts and statistics. All this makes the game unsuitable for players who are completely unfamiliar with the subject. However, those who find their vocation in Robert Miroszewski's production can face the reality in a series of scenarios prepared by the author, acting independently or in a multiplayer mode available through the local network. For the greatest enthusiasts there is an editor where we can change practically every element of the game, including the ability to manually add new models of airplanes and modify the parameters already available.
