An enhanced version of the second entry in the God Eater series from Bandai Namco Entertainment, unlike the original also available on PC and PlayStation 4. Aside from the old content, God Eater 2: Rage Burst offers many improvements, both in visuals and gameplay. We still receive a dynamic action game with RPG features, with its story taking place three years after the previous installment.
God Eater 2: Rage Burst for PC, PS4 and PSV is an enhanced version of a sequel to dynamic action game from Bandai Namco, developed with fans of Monster Hunter series in mind and released in 2013 for Japanese owners of PlayStation Vita and PlayStation Portable consoles. The new edition has been made by Bandai Namco in cooperation with Shift studio, experienced in the genre with titles like Freedom Wars, which debuted in 2014 for PS Vita. God Eater 2: Rage Burst consists of original content and many improvements, both in graphics (especially visible in PlayStation 4 version) and gameplay.
The story of God Eater 2: Rage Bursr for PC, PS4 and PSV starts three years after events from first God Eater, when terrifying beasts invaded the world and they were hunted by people called God Eaters. But now they have to face a new threat in form of red rain that spreads an incurable disease.
God Eater 2: Rage Burst uses arcade fighting system that stresses out on player’s reactions and coming up with proper tactic. Every enemy has its strong and weak points, and discovering them is a key to victory. Players can make use of many weapons, including two new: Boost Hammer and Charge Spear. Each of them dictates player’s game style and tactic.
While the main attraction of God Eater 2: Rage Burst for PC, PS4 and PSV is a single player campaign, the game also offers multiplayer, which has been enhanced with some novelties, like new Engage System. Players can enjoy a cooperation mode in teams consisting of three people, supporting each other in battles or performing missions together.
As far as its visuals go, God Eater for PC, PS4 and PSV isn’t much different from first game, standing at similar, decent level. Creators made some improvements to characters’ models, while also giving proper variety of locations.
