A small puzzle game in which we have to bring the golf ball into the hole using several pre-determined action cards. Afterburn studio in Lodz is responsible for creating the production.
Golf Peaks is a small puzzle game in which we play mini golf. The title was created by a small independent studio Afterburn, located in Lodz. The production debuted first on mobile devices with iOS and on PC. 7Levels from Krakow, responsible for Castle of Heart on Nintendo Switch, helped the team to port the game to other platforms.
Our task in Golf Peaks is to bring a single golf ball into the hole. The action of the game takes place on small two-dimensional maps, separated by a grid of fields, which are presented in isometric projection. At the bottom of the screen there are action tabs, which, when activated, change the position of the ball. Players must plan each subsequent move, taking into account the terrain and the location of the hole. Let's add that some of the blocks that make up the boards have special properties (e.g. they reflect the ball in the chosen direction), which makes it even more difficult to plan everything. The game contains a total of more than eighty levels of increasing difficulty and complexity, which are divided into seven worlds, differing in appearance and challenges.
Golf Peaks is characterized by a minimalist visuals, devoid of unnecessary effects, featuring relaxing BGM and sound effects.

PowerUp!: 7.7 / 10 by Leo Stevenson
Golf Peaks offers some great puzzles and a nice distraction. It’s not flawless but it’s definitely worth the low price of admission.
Nintendo Life: 7 / 10 by Dom Reseigh-Lincoln
While Nintendo Switch has yet to get a proper, full-fat golfing sim to its name yet (come on The Golf Club, get your act together), it does have a handful of fun and rewarding alternatives to tee off on. Golf Peaks is one such memorable trip down the fairway, taking that classic pastime and infusing it with an isometric puzzler that's as fun and engaging as it was on mobile. Much like the original, this Switch port's only real letdown is the fact it's simply over too quickly. Let's hope Golf Peaks 2 is on the cards one day.
Gamers Heroes: 6 / 10 by Casey Scheld
Golf Peaks' card-based mechanics lead to some interesting puzzles, but the package is a little on the light side. There is a solid golf game to be found here, but it is over before it even begins.
