Original platformer, in which we play the role of a heroine traversing the galaxy in search of her missing friend. Iona jumps over various celestial bodies, manipulating their gravity.
Gravity Ghost is an original platforme game developed by the independent studio Ivy Games. The title launched on PC, and after more than four years also appeared on PlayStation 4 in Deluxe Edition with thirteen additional stages, a new hero and bonus songs.
The main heroine of Gravity Ghost is Iona, whose best friend - a fox spirit named Voy - disappeared without a trace. Trying to find the animal, the protagonist embarks on a journey through a galaxy filled with various celestial bodies and inhabited by the spirits of other animals in need of help.
In Gravity Ghost, the action is shown from the side. The game has been divided into more than a hundred stages, which we traverse by jumping from one celestial body to another (for which we use their gravity pull). Access to the subsequent levels is unlocked by collecting stars scattered around the maps. During the game, we gain various abilities, among which we can find terraformaing, which changes the gravitational fields of planets or the possibility of the dematerialize our heroine so that she can freely move through encountered objects. Interestingly, we cannot die here, nor will we experience combat.
Gravity Ghost features high-quality hand-drawn 2D visuals. The fun is accompanied by a catchy soundtrack by Ben Prunty, who has in his portfolio music for such games as FTL: Faster Than Light, Into the Breach and Celeste.
