Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone on PlayStation 4 is another part of a series of rhythm games created by SEGA. The game features six virtual vocalists, including Hatsune Miku, whose voices are created with professional music programs developed by Crypton Future Media from Japan. With their help, fans around the world have composed thousands of songs representing a variety of genres and musical styles that have gained fans through social networks and popular video sites such as YouTube.

Project Diva series started in 2009 on PSP and since then has received several main entries and side titles released on various platforms. One of them was Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Arcade from 2010, created for Japanese arcade salons. Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone is the port of one of the latest versions of this game.

When it comes to the gameplay, Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone doesn't offer anything different. During the game, the screen displays a music video for the song and symbols representing the buttons, which must be pressed at the right moment. The title offers several difficulty levels and numerous configuration options related to the controls and interface. Unlike other Project Dvia games, the title doesn't have simulation options where we can interact with the heroes and their rooms. However, we can unlock various types of costumes and accessories for them.

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone has over 200 songs, many of them known from the previous editions of the series. However, the rest is completely new. Fans of vocaloids will find here the most famous and popular songs released in the last few years.

Technical aspects

Unlike the rest of the main games from this series, Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone takes advantage of the technology developed for arcade machines. The game offers much better graphics in 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second.
