Hellion: Mystery of the Inquisition is a First Person Perspective game which takes the player on a journey back to the 13th Century. The protagonist, Godric of Glastonbury, is a young inquisitor embarking on missions commissioned by Cardinal Guido Praeneste - whose direct supervisor is Pope Honorius III himself. During his crusade against the evil and heresy spreading across the mediaeval world, Godric discovers how dangerous the non-believers' movements are for the law and order established in his contemporary universe. Our hero also learns just how important and painful the preservation of the order guarded by the Holy Church can be.

While investigating closely the mechanisms governing the world, Godric is slowly showing the true colours of the ultimate enemy threatening Christianity. He comes across traces leading to a mysterious and demonic sect whose leader is elusive while his followers spread fear among superstitious people. This dark occult seems to enjoy influence and esteem in almost all the corners of Europe - likelihood of launching a fierce, ideological offensive by its believers is increasing with the time passing.

Godric, following orders issued by his Cardinal and the Pope, investigates the sect's moves and verifies all the information about its whereabouts and modus operandi. During his missions, he is required to anticipate steps taken by the enemy, take pre-emptive action, gather any relevant information, and eventually find the root of all evil to eradicate it once and for all. Wielding his sword and performing exorcisms, Godric makes his way towards the truth, which can be more demonic than anyone could have imagined.

Hellion: Mystery of the Inquisition belongs to the historical fiction genre. This game allows the player to become a witness to an extraordinary plot directed against the Holy Church and the entire world. On the way, the protagonist will meet characters and visit real places of the early 13th-century world. Missions will take him to various corners of Europe, Africa and the Middle East, thus giving the player an opportunity to discover the life, beliefs and ambiance of the mediaeval world.
