A World War 2 third-person shooter, inspired by Battlefield Heroes. Heroes of Valor allows us to play alone or in multiplayer mode. We participate in battles and complete objectives given to us. We can play as different classes with their own skills, as well as use various weapons, vehicles and machines.
Heroes of Valor is a shooter set during World War II, featuring gameplay presented with a wink. The game was developed by the independent Belgian studio Fancy Cat Interactive, and the main source of inspiration for its creators was Battlefield Heroes.
In Heroes of Valor the action is viewed from a third-person perspective (TPP). The game focuses on battles fought in Normandy, over the Mediterranean Sea, and in Africa, during which we stand on the side of the Axis or the Allies and carry out missions assigned to us by the command.
We are given access to character classes differentiated in terms of weapons and skills. The scout specializes in operating silently, the heavy gunner sows panic in the enemy ranks, the engineer is excellent at handling war machines, while the infantryman is the most versatile unit.
Our characters get their hands on a wide range of weapons, including machine guns, automatic rifles, as well as explosives. We can also customize their appearance to individual needs and preferences, using various cosmetic items such as clothes, headgear, weapon skins or emotes.
The icing on the cake are the vehicles and machines that we can use on the battlefield. We are talking about tanks that provide us with protection and destructive firepower, motorcycles that increase our mobility, and airplanes that allow us to take the fight to the skies.
Although Heroes of Valor allows for single-player gameplay, it was designed primarily with online multiplayer in mind. We can act alone or join teams and work together to achieve the goals set before us.
The game offers a wide range of options that allow us to adapt a given "match" to individual needs and preferences. We can modify the length of the game, influence the rotation of maps or change the time of day. It is also possible to modify the behavior of AI bots. They can fight with us or against us, and on the battlefield, they try to imitate the behavior of real players.
The graphic design of Heroes of Valor was maintained in a colorful low poly style (based on a relatively small number of polygons), evoking associations with Team Fortress 2.
