Inazuma Eleven is a series of jRPGs dedicated to soccer. It was started in 2008 by the company Level 5, which oversees its development. Over the years, it has not only seen new installments but also adaptations in the form of manga and anime. Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road described here is the fourth main installment of this series.

Gameplay

Similar to previous productions under this banner, the gameplay in Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road takes place on two levels.

School life

The first level allows us to take direct control of a character and accompany them in their daily life. Viewing events from a third-person perspective (TPP), we explore locations, interact with other characters, and recruit players for our team.

Football matches

The second level of gameplay involves playing soccer matches, which are realized in a manner reminiscent of turn-based battles from classic jRPG games. The game allows us to take direct control of players in "manual" mode and make decisions about the characters' next moves in key situations (in such moments, time drastically slows down, giving us a moment to think). Alternatively, we can use the commander mode, where we manage the team through tactical actions.
