Sbug Games is an independent development studio that strives to "demystify" creatures that may arouse disgust or even fear. In 2021, it delivered a platformer called Webbed, allowing us to play the role of a spider. Their next project was a work of much greater caliber, a 3D platformer titled Isopod described here. It serves as a spin-off of Webbed.

Gameplay

In Isopod we view the action from a third-person perspective (TPP). As the title suggests, during the game we take on the role of an isopod creature. The game takes us to the Australian bush, and our primary goal is to unite the worms against the conglomeration of Fire Ants.

Lively balance

We travel through locations where our isopod can move on its legs or roll in the form of a ball. Interestingly, in this second form we can also move in the air, launching ourselves from pads and bouncing off elements of the environment, and then gaining speed.
