Jack Keane and the Fire Within is a sequel to a popular adventure game by the German studio Deck13 Interactive, which had its premiere in 2007 and was very warmly received by fans of the genre.

The game takes us back to the early colonial era. The main character of the production is once again an adventurous and adventurous captain Jack Keane. Orphaned in childhood and brought up in a poor district of London, the protagonist is not afraid to undertake daring but also dangerous missions - while his personal charisma, charisma and a little bit of insolence make him a character who often gets into serious trouble. The action takes place three years after the original events and tells about the search for a legendary treasure. The game begins when Jack has been imprisoned in Shanghai for a long time, where he deliberately hit to gain the trust of a shaman with knowledge of the location of the treasure. After escaping from captivity, the protagonist sets off on an expedition, during which he is accompanied by Amanda, a well-known from the first part, and a young photojournalist named Eve. It is worth adding that both women compete for the sake of the hero. At the same time, Keane is forced to face the evil professor Umbati, who has a snoring treasure. During the adventures we visit Egypt, Kilimanjaro Mountain and Hamburg.

Jack Keane and the Fire Within is a classic adventure. We spend most of our gameplay time travelling through colorful locations around the globe, chatting with characters, collecting objects and solving puzzles. The title does not try to redefine the rules of the genre and fans of classic adventure games will feel at home here. At the same time, however, a lot of changes were introduced, which make the fun more attractive. A couple of puzzles have several different solutions, and the choices made symbolically influence the ending of the whole story. There are also battle sequences, but executed in a manner resembling fencing duels from the Monkey Island series. It means that their course remains fully adventurous, and the game consists in learning the appropriate techniques, and then pointing out the appropriate cards symbolizing them in order to win over the opponent.

The story is presented in a light and humorous way. This is reflected in the graphics, which, although made in three dimensions, at the same time offers a strong cartoon atmosphere, referring to the style popularized by the classic LucasArts adventures.
