A drift-focused open world racing game by Polish studio Gaming Factory. Japanese Drift Master is set in Japan, tasking us with proving ourselves and becoming drift champion. The game offers simcade controls and a bunch of licensed cars from manufacturers like Mazda, Nissan and Subaru.
JDM: Japanese Drift Master is a racing game dedicated to drifting. It's about a car driving technique that involves taking turns in spectacular, controlled slides. This project was developed by the Polish company Gaming Factory.
JDM: Japanese Drift Master takes us on a journey to Japan, specifically - to the vicinity of the fictional Haikama Lake. During the game we play as a Pole who arrives in Japan to prove his skills on the local drifting scene and win the title of drift master, starting a new life after losing his parents.
In JDM: Japanese Drift Master we are given an open world consisting of approximately 250 kilometers of roads. Driving through winding routes that cut through diverse locations (from the picturesque valley of Lake Haikama, through mountainous areas, to an urbanized, densely populated area), we participate in races where both the position at the finish line and the style in which we get there matter.
In order to score as many points as possible, we need to drift when taking corners, smoothly transition from one slide to another if possible, and also try to "position" the car at the largest possible angle relative to the direction of travel. Despite the arcade-based controls, the cars behave in a fairly realistic manner, appropriately responding to movements of the virtual steering wheel (the game can be considered a so-called simcade).
As we progress, we earn money that we can spend on buying new cars and tuning the ones we already own (from changing the paint color to improving performance and comprehensive bodywork modifications). The game has official licenses from well-known Japanese brands such as Mazda, Nissan, and Subaru.
JDM: Japanese Drift Master was created based on Unreal Engine 5.

Game Ratings for JDM: Japanese Drift Master Video Game.
PC Gamer: 72 / 100 by Phil Iwaniuk
Bursting with ideas, enthusiasm, and a solid physics model, but JDM seems more preoccupied with throwing another idea in than polishing what's already there.
Thumb Culture: 4 / 5
JDM: Japanese Drift Master is a stylish and heartfelt homage to Japanese car culture and the art of drifting. With tight driving mechanics, an atmospheric world, and enough customisation to make any car fan happy, it provides an engaging single-player experience that’s both accessible and rewarding. While it falls short in a few areas, most notably the absence of multiplayer and occasional visual hiccups, the overall package is compelling. Especially for fans of games like Initial D, CarX Drift Racing, or Need for Speed Underground. If you’re looking to lose yourself in the smoky trails of a mountain pass with a custom-tuned ride and a lo-fi beat in the background, JDM: Japanese Drift Master might just be the ride you’ve been waiting for. JDM: Japanese Drift Master receives the Thumb Culture Gold Award!
Checkpoint Gaming: 7 / 10 by Missy Taylor
JDM: Japanese Drift Master shines in places like the graphics and the cars themselves. Gaming Factory has put a lot of love into this, and it shows. Especially using Polish musicians to fill up their radio stations. There are some issues, though; the story itself doesn't leave an impact, the difficulty of the AI is inconsistent, and there are some bugs. But it's all about the drifting, and that's where it makes up for it. The driving is fluid, and the NPCs can be quite challenging. However, the cars sound amazing, it really sounds like you're driving a Miata! Fans of Tokyo Drift, Initial D and general drift racing sim fans will have a ball with JDM.
