Kaptain Brawe: An Unexpected Intermission! is a small, free point-and-click adventure, created on the occasion of work on the full second installment of the cycle. The game was prepared "after hours" by the Croatian studio Cateia Games responsible for the series. The main task of the title was to support the collection of funds for the completion of the second part of the game on the Kickstarter service.

In terms of storyline, the game is the link between the first and second installment of the series. We take control of a friendly and unlucky captain of the space police, who, resting after the adventures, took care of filling in the credit application. Unfortunately, a meeting with a starry piranha ends in a ship failure, and our prototype player hits an icy planet - the same planet on which the action of the second part of the game begins.

Although there are only three locations in the game and the fun is enough for several minutes, An Unexpected Intermission! contains almost everything that the series has accustomed us to. So we have a classic point-and-click interface, a distinctive graphic style, reminiscent of the cult adventures of the 90's, and a good dose of humour. Contrary to the fully-fledged versions of the cycle, the game does not only include full acting dubbing.
