The Kingdom of Daventry, ruled by the wise and just monarch Edward, is going through a deep crisis. The once calm land is falling. The only hope is to find three magical artifacts that will help rebuild the former glory and restore the desired order. Sir Graham, the most splendid of Daventry's knights, is assigned to a difficult, if not impossible task. If he succeeds, not only will he save himself in gold as a hero, but he will also become the rightful successor to the throne.... But haven't we done it before?

Of course, it was a relatively long time ago, in 1984. It was then that the program was released, which significantly contributed to the development of the adventure game genre. A few years later Sierra decided to return to the topic and published King's Quest once again, this time adjusting graphics to the possibilities of the new times. However, for enthusiasts from the amateur group AGDInteractive (originally Tierra Entertainment), it was not enough. Sami decided to take charge of correcting King's Quest, resulting in a unique remake.

King's Quest: Quest for the Crown is actually still the same game, but with a much nicer design. The authors decided not to interfere with the proper scenario and left it unchanged, including all dialogues appearing in the original game. Therefore, you should remember to record the state of the game frequently - you can die on virtually any board. The backgrounds were made with great attention to detail and, more interestingly, contain all the characteristic landscape elements we saw in previous editions of King's Quest. During conversations with other characters, their animated faces appear, while at the top of the screen a set of icons was implemented, similar to those used by Sierra in their later adventure games (so there is no need to enter commands manually). Generally, the AGDInteractive product should appeal to all those who find the graphics of the original King's Quest too archaic. Apart from that, the program has one more advantage, it works under Windows without any problems.
