Pierre the Maze Detective is the title of a series of puzzle books for children, created by Hiro Kamigaki and IC4DESIGN studio. The Darjeeling team, known for the game Homo Machina, has prepared its adaptation in the form of a HOPA video game, titled Labyrinth City: Pierre the Maze Detective.
In Labyrinth City: Pierre the Maze Detective events are viewed in an isometric view.
The main character is the titular detective Pierre, whose task is to recover the Labyrinth Stone, a magical artifact stolen by the sinister Mr. X, turning the surroundings into labyrinths. The adventure leads our protagonist through various locations - from city streets, through a museum and a castle in the sky, ending at a haunted residence.
While exploring these places, we solve puzzles involving searching for hidden objects, as well as interact with NPCs and objects. Various mini-games are also waiting here to be checked out. Individual puzzle scenes are based on illustrations from the original book adventures of Pierre.
The graphic design of Labyrinth City: Pierre the Maze Detective was maintained in the cartoon style known from the original.
