Legendary Tales is an action RPG game, developed from the ground up for virtual reality headsets. The game was created by the independent studio Urban Wolf Games from South Korea.

Mechanics

In Legendary Tales we watch the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). The game sends us to a dark fantasy world, specifically - to underground dungeons full of dangers. During the game, we become brave adventurers traversing through the dark tunnels and facing the threats lurking there.

The main feature of the game are dynamic battles with opponents. We eliminate enemies, such as animated skeletons, by making use of a wide range of melee weapons (like swords or hammers), ranged weapons (bows), and elemental magic (fire, ice, and lightning).

The combat system is based on physics, so each weapon has its own weight, which among other things affects the speed of the attacks. We can creatively use both the shield and elements of the environment, and even severed body parts of our adversaries, which we can throw at enemies. Different types of weapons have individual properties that can be used during duels. For example, a slashing weapon can cut off enemy limbs, while a blunt weapon allows to stun opponents, making them essentially defenseless for a short while.
